I recently heard that Stan Lee said James Cameron was taking a year off, then was going to shoot SPIDERMAN. Well, I've had reports that he and Cameron are pretty tight, but Stan's information in the past has...well been unreliable. However... Something happened tonight.
I got a phone call from an old friend up in the Big Apple, New York for those without slang knowledge. This friend of mine went to college with me and well, got his degree in Hotel Management and has managed to work his way to managing a New York Hotel. Well guess who's staying there? Wrong. Nope. Wrong again. Mike Cameron. What's the big deal? Well apparently Mike is there doing research and development on a new camera system.
Now this is where supposition comes in. When Cameron was hot to go way down under and shoot the Titanic, he sent his bro Mike around to places all over kingdom come to develop camera equipment capable to shoot the real Titanic. So let's think. Mike is now in New York City. There are a crap load of tall buildings in New York. What project would need special camera techniques involving tall buildings? could it be SPIDERMAN? I mean let's face it, if you wanted to shoot professional cinematography from a perspective of swinging between giganticly tall buildings, where would you go? New York.
Or he could simply be resting. But my spidey sense is telling me otherwise. I sense something funny in the works. Just something to make you go... hmmmmmmmmmmm
