The SSR loans Peggy Carter out to the Los Angeles Police Department next season, it was revealed at Friday’s Marvel TV panel. It’s 1947 and The Black Dahlia Murder is vexing the cops.
Also revealed: “Agent Carter” is expanding from eight episodes to 10 this season.
Showrunner Michele Fazekas says “One Tree Hill” star Chad Michael Murray has signed to reprise the role of agent Jack Thompson, but he’s staying in New York to oversee the SSR’s office there.
We’ve known for a while now that Captain America’s almost-girlfriend Peggy would relocate to Los Angeles for the 1947-set second season of “Agent Carter.” We’ve also known that the plan was for her to be joined by waitress Angie Mantinelli (Lyndsy Fonseca) and Howard Stark’s butler Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy).
Also back is Enver Gjokaj, who played Peggy’s dreamy fellow SSR Agent Daniel Sousa.
Producers are also reportedly pursuing Bridget Regan to reprise the role of Ida Emke (aka Dottie Underwood), a product of the same program that later produced Natasha “Black Widow” Romanoff. Maybe she’s the murderer the LAPD is after.
