Neal McDonough, who played Captain America’s pal Dum Dum Dugan in the big-screen “First Avenger” and ABC’s “Agents of SHIELD” and “Agent Carter,” is bringing another comic-book character to life, on the CW.
McDonough, 49, will portray Damien Darhk on “Arrow.” The TV version of the character is described as an old foe of Ra’s Al Ghul.
Introduced in 1999’s Titans #1, the print version of Darhk is a high-tech criminal in his early 20s.
McDonough works like crazy on screens big and small. He was in both “RED 2” and “Paul Blart 2” and recently had recurring roles on “Justified,” “Mob City” and “Suits.” Other credits include “Star Trek: First Contact,” “Minority Report,” “Walking Tall,” “The X-Files,” “Boomtown” and “Band of Brothers.”
He’s also a prolific voice actor, having played Bruce Banner and Oliver Queen in animated projects.
The fourth season of “Arrow” launches Oct. 7.
