Umberto Gonzalez/“El Mayimbe”/Heroic Hollywood have revealed that the JURASSIC WORLD director will helm STAR WARS EPISODE IX.
Today at the Star Wars Comic Con panel, Lucasfilm will bring out Colin Trevorrow onto the stage at Hall H to announce him as the next director of Star Wars: Episode 9!

Having seen Trevorrow speak in a number of interviews, I sense he's very insightful, quite intelligent, and capable of a level of a greatness far transcending the highly competent…yet notably middle of the road…directing he brought to JURASSIC WORLD. If he is, indeed, announced for E9 today, it’ll be interesting to see what he brings to the table for a project such as this. At the moment, however, he feels a bit like the 'Richard Marquand' of the new trilogy directors.
Look for STAR WARS EPISODE IX in 2019…
