THIEF OF ALWAYS latest on this project

Hey folks, Harry here... While doing my duty as a panelist at this year's AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL and WRITER'S CONFERENCE, I served on a panel about comic book adaptations and comic book movies with Paul from the site, Tim McCanlies (Iron Giant, Iron Man screenwriter) and Ed Solomon (BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE and MEN IN BLACK) when suddenly I found Ed using as an example a script that he finished last week entitled THEIF OF ALWAYS.

Now... I believe I had heard some time ago that he was adapting this, but what I don't recall hearing before was this... The film is no longer over in the realm of Buena Vista where I thought it was, but over with UNIVERSAL and ILM... with ILM on board to make it their first feature length CG feature. Clive apparently was reading it this weekend with Ed scheduled to find out what he thought on Monday... BUT folks... how cool is that?

As much as I loved the concept of ILM handling that Frankenstein film as an all CG film.... this is something completely new and never before seen... Plus it is accessible to all ages without the need for pandering. Fans of this particular Clive Barker novel tend to range from pre-teens to well... my dad's generation. And with the film... that fandom should expand even.

The project has been in development with a lot of scripts for a very long time, but Ed seemed really jazzed about where this script was headed... so stay tuned... We're on the case...
