Is the second 2016 episode of “The X-Files,” titled “Home Again,” a sequel to the fourth-season episode “Home”?
This is the speculation of TVLine’s Michael Ausiello, who points out the writer-director of “Home Again” is Glen Morgan, who co-wrote “Home” with James Wong.
“Home,” which apparently freaked everybody out so thoroughly Fox never reran it, dealt with a family that devolved unpleasantly thanks to their century-old decision not to breed with outsiders. More than 100 years of incest, inbreeding and recessive genes may have proven more frightening to audiences than all the vampires, demons and beasts on the CW put together.
Two Peacocks were alive at the end of the 1996 episode – a male and his paraplegic mom – and I reckon that was enough to produce a lot more Peacocks.
Fox airs “Home Again” on Jan. 25.
