Binky the Spy sent in this update about what is going on in the land askew with Kevin Smith and the cast of nutty characters that surroud him, so here's a quick update for all you whose view is a bit askewed..
Hey all!! The all too askew Binky the spy is back with the latest for those of you non board regs. Here's a rundown of all the Kev and askew related happenings askewing as of now:
DOGMA: Filming starts real soon on this one. Kev has finished his 5th and final draft, he read with Chris and Selma while at LA, and everything else is going smothly. He also just got a DP, the guy who DP'd FARGO. Any way, there will be some MAJOR updates soon for this one. Also, Kev's story board guy has finished this one up and Kev promices that this flick will be much more visual than anything before.
OVERNIGHT DELIVERY: Kev's bastard step child will be out on video and Laser later this month.
A BETTER PLACE: It's getting rave reviews on FLIXTOUR and Vincent (the director) is prety sure it'll get a distributer afterwards (Mirimax passed). He says that if he can't find one it will definatly go straight to video (and hopefully LD or DVD, Vincent's a real film buff.) There is also a lot of posative buzz about his next flick, Autograph. A slasher he'll direct and Kev and Scott will exec. Produce.
VULGAR: Is going fine. I'll primir this summer it VULGARTHON II with Big Helium Dog.
BIG HELIUM DOG: This is gonna' be BIG!!!! Bryan Linch's flic is suposed to be real funny (even if he is a total nazi). Vincent's sure it will get a distributor real soon.
DRAWLING FLIES: may be out on vieo eventually. keep your fingers crossed.
ALSO: MALLRATS WILL BE RELEASED ON DVD AND MAYBE LD in special eddition.
KEV's NEXT COMIC WILL BE A THREE ISSUE JAY AND SILENT BOB MIMI SERIES THAT WILL BRIDGE AMY AND DOGMA.
OTHER WRITING FOR KEV: Dogma: the novel, Green Lantern:The movie, Fletch 3 (y'all know), MAGE (movie), Green Arrow (Comic), and Daredevil (6 issues).
TaTA,
Binky the spy.
