I've been all in RICKI AND THE FLASH since it was announced as a Jonathan Demme-Diablo Cody collaboration. These two are perfectly paired for each other; they're both big on brutal emotional honesty, and, not for nothing, have excellent taste in music. I'm almost as excited for the soundtrack as I am the movie. Almost. Now that I've watched the trailer, I can't wait to see Meryl Streep, Audra McDonald, Kevin Kline, Mamie Gummer (Streep's real-life daughter), Sebastian Stan and Rick fucking Springfield set off some thespian fireworks. This looks like a winner.
