That ANT-MAN teaser gave us some good looks at Scott Lang in costume, including shots of him shrinkifying and flying on insects and such, but we didn’t really get a glimpse of his adversary, Yellowjacket a.k.a. Darren Cross, in costume (though we did see Corey Stoll all suited up).
Well, we now have the above glamour shot of him in full attack mode (with stingers in view, no less), thanks to Entertainment Weekly (visit the site for some of Peyton Reed's thoughts on filming the pictured scene). Bonus points if you catch who he’s ready to punch at first glance; I didn’t.
As for the suit itself, I think it looks cool, unique, and totally believable as a Mark 2 version of the ANT-MAN suit we’ve already seen. Even though it’s yellow, there’s something inhuman and menacing about the suit, even without the glowing face and stingers; this is the guy whose ass needs to get kicked, not the guy you want to see kick ass.
We’ll probably see a full-bodied shot of him in action when the next trailer drops (probably with AGE OF ULTRON next month), but I’m digging the look so far. What do y’all think?
