Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. 2015 is a big year for nostalgiaphiles like myself. Mad Max returns and we get new Star Wars movies. That's all well and good, but it is also the year that puts Pee-Wee Herman back in front of cameras for another adventure.
Thanks in large part to Judd Apatow stepping in as producer, we have Pee-Wee's Big Holiday actually in production and I, for one, am crazy pumped for it.
Today Pee-Wee himself announced a member of the cast... A rather surprising addition, actually. Magic Mike and True Blood's Joe Manganiello will accompany Mr. Herman on his journey:
Look, it's Pee-Wee! Who is Manganiello playing? Pee-Wee's being tight-lipped about the role, but I'm personally hoping he's the son of Large Marge. Big Bill? Huge Hugh? Tall Ted? Gargantuan Stan?
Whomever he's playing, I'm sure it'll be awesome. First time feature director John Lee cut his teeth on Wonder Showzen, so I have no doubt the new Pee-Wee will be just as weird and fucked up as I've dreamed it'd be...
