Somewhere in this great big world the Flukeman drives the roads and holds down a job. But for now, for now the Flukeman kicks ass as an agent for AICN. The world wouldn't except him, but we do. And here is what the Flukeman said:
"Well, the other night approx. 2 1/2 weeks ago now, I'm driving home (I live in Canyon Country, CA) at about 12:30 at night down highway 14. Now as I round the curve in the freeway I see off to my right a HUGE blaring white light. Now this is sometimes common around here, as alot of film companies shoot out this way and they shoot night for day sequences, etc. What made this uncommon was either the amount of light they were using or it's location to the freeway (The intensity of the lights made it seem much closer). Plus their seemed to be like one or two helicopters flying about it. It seemed pretty near the old Disney ranch lot here, so being intrigued and the curious type, of course I drove out there to investigate. As I pulled up the (black) helicopters had landed and they was an awful lot of commotion as people scurried about marked police/emergency vehicles and other unmarked cars. There were a few cammied soldiers mulling about drinking coffee, and the place looked like the command posts you see set up on CNN or the news for emergency situations, with an RV or trailer or two there as well. As I sat in my car and watched, ducking down in the seat lest I be discovered, I saw a man in a trenchcoat emerge from one of the trailers. When he turned I could see it was David Duchoveney/Agent Mulder! What kind of government conspiracy had I stumbled on to out here in the low desert outskirts of my town? One that would bring Fox Mulder here of all places? It was none other than the X-Files movie shoot!!!!! This was tooo rad! I wandered about and ate at their craft services table discretely for about 2 hours as the crew set up for another shot. In that time, I did see Dana Scully/Gillian Anderson too, but only for a brief second as she entered the makeup trailer. I don't know what Chris Carter looks like but there was one guy there that seemed to be rather important with thinning sandy blonde hair who everyone kept calling Chris. Finally, as time drew later, I felt more uncomfortable as I think several PA's with walkie Talkies were catching on to my unauthorized nourishment. So I decided I had seen as much as I could without getting thrown off the set, and decided it would be beter off not to be taken into custody and have to reveal my secret identity. As I drove home down windy Placerita Cyn. Road, I had one thought that stuck out in my mind, "But I would have no proof, no photos, who would believe me?" Then, I belched. Ahhhhhh, I thought the truth is out there!
Truer words were never written. The Flukeman is inevitably thought of as a braggart and a liar, but truth be known he is probably telling the truth, but best as we can tell, it's a legendary act of geek bravery that can neither be confirmed nor denied. Only the Flukeman knows for sure. And that's as it should be.
