Hoping for a Mystique spin-off movie after Bryan Singer's X-MEN: APOCALYPSE? Well, Jennifer Lawrence isn't. In the past, she's expressed her frustration with having to spend long hours in makeup donning her character's blue skin, so it shouldn't come as a huge surprise that she's officially bolting the mutant universe after her third go-round.
She broke the news to MTV on the red carpet for her new film SERENA, and did not go into detail as to how involved Mystique will be in APOCALYPSE. All we know for now is that screenwriter Simon Kinberg says the film will close out the ersatz trilogy that began with X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. Does this mean Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy are also out as Magneto and Professor X? We'll just have to wait and see.
