RESIDENT EVIL... I'm no longer interested

Hey folks, I've got confirmation today of a story I've been dreading confirmation on. Paul Anderson (not the genius, but the hack) has apparently signed on board to direct RESIDENT EVIL... It is not known which script (of the several that are floating around) will be used... but, given this director can take a great script like David Webb Peoples' SOLDIER and turn it into a steaming pile of festering dung... I can only anticipate the depths of filmgoing hell I'll be taken to this time. Now... Paul Anderson has his fans... If you're one of them... hey... God bless... go frolic... Me? This project now contains zero interest. I'll cover it... I'll follow it for you fans of his... but expect zero enthusiasm until I see the finished film because... Paul Anderson takes great designs, casts, scripts and general talent and manages make the golden flushable. The... ahem... project begins filming in January... I wish him the best of luck... I'd love to see a good zombie kill kill film... but in the post "DON'T MARKET VIOLENCE TO KIDS" "MAKE FILMS FRIENDLY" world... I'm left wondering if the canines have been pulled on what should essentially be a hardcore NC-17 Violent Action Horror Zombie flick... and it'll turn into pure dreck. We'll see...
