A few months back we learned that Peter Dinklage - whose performance in GAME OF THRONES is so magnificently nuanced, well-considered, and powerful - would appear in a movie which had something to do with a ‘Leprechaun.’
We now know a bit more about the upcoming picture, which’ll be scripted by Andrew Dodge (BAD WORDS). It’s evidently called O’ LUCKY DAY and it’s looking like Adam Shankman (ROCK OF AGES, the HAIRSPRAY movie) will helm the undertaking.
Deadline further explains the Leprechaun angle, saying that Dinklage will star as…
...as a con man who may or may not be a real Leprechaun, but who certainly passes himself off as one.
Initial indications suggested this picture might be ‘R’ rated - although it’s not clear if this is still the intent. If, indeed, we’re on the cusp of getting an ‘R’ rated Leprechaun movie starring Peter Dinklage? Greatness may well await. I can’t shake the feeling that ‘Lucky Day’ may actually be the name of a porn star in this thing…
