Gotham 1.13 FAQ

What’s it called?
“Welcome Back, Jim Gordon.”

Who’s responsible?
Teleplay is credited to playwright Megan Mostyn-Brown (“The Secret Lives of Losers”), who makes her small-screen debut.

What says Fox?
“When the key witness in a homicide ends up dead while being held for questioning by the police, Gordon (Ben McKenzie) suspects that it’s an inside job and looks to an old friend for information. Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) takes control of one of Fish Mooney’s (Jada Pinkett Smith) prized possessions, as she gets a gets a small taste of her own medicine. Guest Cast: Morena Baccarin as Dr. Leslie Thompkins, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean, Anthony Carrigan as Victor Zsasz, Carol Kane as Gertrude Kapelput, Dash Mihok as Arnold Flass, Niko Nicotera as Derek Delaware.”

How does it start?
“Well. You must be the B-team,” appraises a chained-up Fish Mooney.

This “old friend” Gordon turns to? Is it someone we’ve seen before?
It is!

Who is Derek Delaware? Does he hang out with Robert California?
Derek Delaware’s a dirty detective.

Aside from Fish’s club, what constitutes her prized possessions?
Well, there’s a scarf.

Does Dr. Leslie Thompkins get naked with Gordon this week?
The logline lies! She’s not in this week’s guest cast.

Why didn’t Falcone kill Fish last week?
Death is too good for her.

What’s doing with Fish henchman Butch?
“Or should we take him home to play with?” says somebody, eyeing Butch.

Are Catgirl and Ivy still squatting in Barbara Kean’s apartment?
Uncertain. Both are seen this week, but neither at home.

What’s doing with the lesbitastic Barbara Kean and Renee Montoya?
Neither turns up this week.

Does Ed Nygma annoy any new coworkers this week?
No new ones, but GCPD file clerk Kristen Kringle appears in her third episodes tonight.

Does Harvey Dent barely contain a fit of rage this week?
No Dent this week.

Does Penguin finally kill Fish this week?
No. But it is obviously a big episode for Fish.

The big news?
Bruce and Alfred are back, and not quite all their scenes are in the library of Stately Wayne Manor. It turns out the duo have been using a chalet in Switzerland as a hideout. Upon his return, Young Master Bruce gets some bad news.

What else is Fox not telling us?
We learn tonight Fish’s real name is Maureen Mercedes.

What’s good?
Bob. Alfred’s appraisal of Ivy. “One of our top guys. You’ll be in good hands.” “Steady, Master Bruce.”

What’s not so good?
Gordon’s case of the week, designed to depict his growing moral authority, isn’t nearly as much fun as last week’s featuring the Electrocutioner.

How does it end, spoiler boy?
“Please! Please! Please!” a kneeling man begs Gordon.

8 p.m. Monday. Fox.
