One name not included in yesterday’s James Bond info-dump was Jesper Christensen - who played Quantum operative ‘Mr. White’ in CASINO ROYALE and QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Gone but not forgotten, perhaps?
Not exactly.
Even though the next movie - which began shooting yesterday - is rather overtly about the long-time, much anticipated return of the Bondverse’s iconic badguy club called SPECTRE, it’s looking like our Quantum days may not be completely over.
"I am looking forward to working with Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig. It is a truly exciting script and a very capable team. So it'll be fun..."
…says Christensen in a discussion with Euroman (via Empire).
Evidently, the article does not reveal how (or if) Quantum and SPECTRE are connected. Are they intertwined? Are they rival bastard posses? Is Mr. White merely a character in the film with no Quantum involvement? Or is he now working for SPECTRE? Let the speculation begin.
So far, this is sounding like one helluva picture...
