The first trailer has arrived for PAN, Joe Wright's (HANNA) reimagining/prequel story of J.M. Barrie's classic character Peter Pan.
The story sees a young Peter (Levi Miller) being whisked away from an orphanage and taken to Neverland, where he joins foces with a young Hook (Garrett Hedlund) and Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara) against the infamous pirate Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman)
This is definitely looking to be a new and potentially exciting take on the Peter Pan story. The bright colors, soaring pirate ships and wild costuming leaves no doubt that this film will not be adopting the dark and gritty approach, and is instead leaning hard into the fantasy element. Peter's origins are just as fantastic as the adventures he will one day lead, and Wright seems to be embracing that approach and spirit whole-heartedly.
