According to THR, the Coen Brothers have cast Highlander himself, Christopher Lambert, in their next film, HAIL, CAESAR! Here is their breakdown of the character he will be playing:
"Lambert will play Arne Slessum, a married European filmmaker whose scandalous affair with a young starlet (Johansson) becomes yet another headache for the studio."
This is a big deal for Lambert as he has mostly been stuck with TV roles and straight-to-video films in recent years. He will now be co-starring in a studio film with George Clooney, Josh Brolin, Channing Tatum, Tilda Swinton, Scarlet Johansson, Frances McDormand, Ralph Fiennes and Jonah Hill. So a big step up, and hopefully it will lead to a career rejuvenation for him.
HAIL, CAESAR! is set for release on February 5th, 2016.
