Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. My favorite holiday has come and passed, all the candy has been handed out and I'm stuck with Walter Sobchak hair since I didn't think much past how cool it'd look for my Halloween costume. That means it's time to buckle down and get serious about this year's Holiday Gift Guide.
It's been a staple going back damn near 10 years now. If you're not familiar with it, check out the summer version I cobbled together this year (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3) and imagine that, but much bigger. My goal every year is to replicate the experience I had as a kid when my grandma would slam down the JC Pennys or Toys R Us catalogues in front of me, give me a pen and tell me to flip through, circling what I wanted for Christmas. It's a massive endeavor that completely takes over my life for about a month, but year after year the response from you guys is overwhelmingly positive and makes the aching fingers and tired eyes worth it.
I cover DVDs/Blus, books, toys, collectibles, art, apparel, geek housewares and a bunch of other random nerdery and while I do spend an ungodly amount of time researching these things I always like to turn to you guys, the readers, to hear about what you're looking forward to this holiday season. What are you hoping to be gifted? What super crazy expensive item would you buy if you hit the lotto? What are you getting your best geek friend?
