Hey guys! Horrorella here...
Werewolf fans rejoice! You get a new horror flick hitting VOD just in time for Halloween. WOLVES is headed your way on October 16, from writer/director David Hayter. He was the screenwriter behind the first two X-MEN films, as well as THE WATCHMEN, and is making his directorial debut here.
The film follows a teenager (Lucas Till) who begins undergoing some strange physical changes, and winds up on the run after being falsely accused of killing his parents. His travels land him in the secluded town of Lupine Ridge (because where else would he go?), where he begins to learn the secrets of his heritage. He also becomes embroiled in a shitstorm of trouble when he finds himself at the center of a raging war between two opposing wolf clans.
I'm not sure I'm completely won over by the werewolf effects at this point, but I am really digging the atmosphere and the setting here. The look is great, and Jason Momoa looks particularly badass. Plus, Stephen McHattie also co-stars, and he is a welcome addition to any cast.
We have both a safe trailer and a less safe trailer below for your viewing pleasure. WOLVES hits VOD on October 16th, and opens in theaters on November 14th.
What do you guys think?
