NFL football won Thursday and will presumably continue winning Thursdays for the next seven weeks. CBS launches its Thursday Night Football franchise tonight and “Big Brother” has gotten out of the NFL’s way by adopting a new schedule: Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. (I think the original plan was for “Big Brother” to be done before CBS’ “Thursday Night Football” started, but poor ratings for “Extant” caused CBS programmers to extend “Brother” until the night of “Survivor’s premiere. I think that’s what happened.)
