A new trailer has hit for the latest film from Nacho Vigalondo, OPEN WINDOWS. Vigalondo, who has previously brought us such gems as TIMECRIMES and EXTRATERRESTRIAL is going the thriller route with this new film. It stars Elijah Wood as Nick, the number one of a famous actress, played by Sasha Grey. He finds himself with direct access to her computer thanks to a mysterious hacker. What starts out as being the best (yet creepiest) gift in the world quickly turns into a nightmare, as the hacker in question has his own agenda and is using Nick and his newly-granted access to help him to carry it out.
The story is shown pretty exclusively through computer screens, which gives it an interesting twist, as well as, undoubtedly, its own unique challenges. I am really excited to see how Vigalondo handles them.
This film is just the latest in a series of interesting genre projects that Elijah Wood has tackled, including 2012's MANIAC remake, and last year's GRAND PIANO.
Updated Release Dates: OPEN WINDOWS hits theaters on November 7th, following a VOD release on October 2nd. What do you guys think?
