Universal Studios had been working to keep most matters surrounding "Jurassic Park III" a secret, until the military intervened.
The Universal movie crew set up at Dillingham Airfield on Wednesday and planned to wrap yesterday evening, moving on to another, still-secret Oahu location, where filming continues through Sept. 9.
In response to requests from Army media relations officers, who had helped expedite permissions for filming at the military training site, line producer Larry Franco and director Joe Johnston gave local press access to the set yesterday, providing a look at the "abandoned jungle airfield" where some of the film action takes place.
Most details concerning the plot, budget and locations have been kept secret, to build mystery and to enforce security during filming. But filmmakers revealed this: One or two characters in "JPIII" get crunched by dinosaurs. One man meets his fate while standing on the runway, and a dinosaur looms in front of an oncoming plane.
