Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here with this week's fun lineup of fun short films I think you ought to check out! As the bulk of you out there are aware, AICN readers will sporadically send me their short film projects and once a week I'll post a handful that I find exceptionally cool or interesting. This week is nothing different, it's filled with pure short film awesomeness. We've got artificial intelligence, real intelligence, awesome gaillo love, and a pretty fun animated piece. And hey, if you find yourself watching these shorts and thinking "Hizzah, I could do much better! I'm sitting on a mountain of shorts I've done that are better than these!" First, no need to be negative. Second, send that stuff my way! I'm always on the look out for new filmmakers with new takes on things and interesting visions. Just keep making things you believe in and be sure to send them my way!

Bam! Pow! Snaps! Let's kick this shindig off well, in a true Saturday morning fashion - with a kickass animated film from Luke Freitag. The animation feels right, like a show I could get into (if it's made in Flash, I can't tell - this thing looks great). Gear shift time. Now let's dig into some pretty trippy territory, the birth of artificial intelligence! From Paul Leeming we have a damn slick looking short with a little bit to chew on. So the atomic bomb, pretty gnarly stuff that changed the world. David McCracken's created a pretty interesting time travel short that's sure to rock your world. Here's an interesting short from Jesus Diez and Dan Matley about a guy who's won the lottery twice in a row, yet still doesn't seem fulfilled... "Famous for winning the lottery twice, behind closed doors Jack is clearly a loser. After years of keeping his secret to himself, he decides to reveal all by inviting his personal female escort into his dreams allowing her to see what Jack really wants in life."

A BLOODY SHADE OF RED

Hot damn is this a fun film to end the week on! I get sent "grindhouse" trailers quite a bit and to be honest, the bulk of them are shot like a modern film, then have filters slapped on. That's totally not the case here. This film is spot on, perfectly executed love letter to gaillo. It's perfect and I can't wait for you guys to check it out! John Keefer knocks it out of the park with this one. "From 51Deep Productions - A killer is on the loose!
