Dear Harry & Co.

It's the evil spy from the Middle East again & again...

Anyway, the MIFED (Milano Film Market) is coming up and so are new projects. First of all, as you already know, Charlize Theron dropped out of "The Husband I Bought" and Patricia Arquette replaced her. What do you guys think?

Ye Meng mentioned something about Killing Me Softly. Well I got more news on that...mind that it's filled with "SPOILERS":

ALICE (20’s American, beautiful) is living in London. She has a wonderful fiancé (JAKE) and a terrific job. Everything in her life is going smoothly until one day when she is walking towards the office building that she works in and she sees a devastatingly handsome man. She continues walking but she can feel him starring at her. She unabashedly returns the stare. She is suddenly jolted out of her trance when a coworker hollers her name. She finds it impossible to concentrate at work. When she goes out for lunch, she runs into the handsome man from morning. She feels a strange immediate connection with this man. After exchanging only a handful of words they end up at his apartment having sex. It is the most passionate sex that Alice has ever had. There is an element of danger in the entire scenario. That evening, as Alice and Jake make love, she fantasizes about being with the strange man from earlier. The next day, Alice sees a book in the window of a bookstore. It is called "Heaven starts at 29,000 feet. It has a picture of her lover from the day before on it. His name is ADAM. He supposedly saved six people on a mountain climbing expedition. That afternoon, Alice goes to see him again. Once again they have amazing sex. Later, Alice feels really guilty about cheating on Jake and she sends Adam a note explaining that she has to end their affair. A few days later, Alice breaks up with Jake. She goes to Adams apartment to tell him but a woman answers the door. It’s Adam’s sister DEBORAH (30, beautiful). It is really Deborah’s apartment that Adam was staying in while his was being renovated. Deborah tells Alice that Adam was really smitten with her. She gives Alice his address and says goodbye. Alice is really happy that Adam talked about her to his sister. She goes straight to Adam’s apartment. He is so happy to see her and to hear that she left Jake, that he makes love to her with wild abandon. They don’t even make it into the apartment building. Alice notices a neighbor watching and it turns her on. Over the next few weeks, Adam and Alice live together in domestic bliss. The sex gets kinkier and kinkier. Adam loves to tie Alice up with silk scarves and to hold her throat so that she can hardly breathe when they make love.

One day, a reporter (JOANNA) shows up to interview Adam for a magazine article. That same day, Alice goes out to lunch with one of her girlfriends (SYLVIE). Sylvie tells Alice that she thinks she made a mistake by leaving Jake. She says that love is more than just a good fuck. As the two women leave the restaurant, Alice is mugger by a thug with a knife. Just then, Adam happens to be walking around the corner (he was hoping to join them for lunch). He sees the mugger and chases him. When he catches him, he beats him up until he is a bloody mess. Sylvie and Alice watch in horror. Adam runs over to Alice and holds her tightly. He tells her that he doesn’t know what he would do if she was ever taken away from him. He has tears in his eyes. They hold each other tightly and kiss passionately. Sylvie looks at them from across the street. She thinks Adam is a bit extreme. While still in an embrace on the sidewalk, Adam turns to Alice and asks her to marry him. She says yes and they start to plan a simple wedding. Later, that same day, Alice gets an anonymous note in the mail saying, "Use your head, Alice. What do you really know about him?" Adam sees the note and crumbles it up. He tells Alice not to worry about it. A few days later, they get married in a small church near a mountain. It’s called St. EADMUND’S CHURCH. That same day, Adam takes Alice on a huge hike up the mountain to a cabin deep in the woods. They have sex in the cabin. A few days later, when they are back in town, Alice gets another anonymous note. This one says, "It was a mistake to marry him". Alice calls up Jake to see if he sent it. She finds out that Sylvie has moved in with Jake and they are both very happy so it can’t be him. That afternoon, Deborah shows up at Alice and Adam’s apartment. When Adam gets home, he is really upset with Deborah for showing up when he wasn’t home. He yells at her and makes her cry. Alice is shocked at Adam’s violent behavior. Later, he apologizes to Alice. He tells her that Deborah is really judgmental and has hurt him before. They have a very stormy relationship. The next day at work, Alice gets a phone call from Joanna (the reporter). Joanna says that she received a very strange letter and would like Alice to see it. She faxes over the letter. It says, "Dear Joanna Noble: What you wrote makes me sick. Your big hero, Adam Tallis, raped me, October 20th, 1989. Why don’t you try reporting the truth? If you want the real story, phone the victim. MICHELLE STOWE, 0491 680 577. Later that day, Alice goes to Michelle Stowe’s house. She pretends to be Joanna and interviews her. Michelle tells her about how she was at a party one night with friends when she met Adam. She says that she was really drunk. She also says that Adam forced himself on her in the bushes in front of the house. Alice leaves and goes home. When she gets home she snoops in one of Adam’s closets. She finds a box full of letters from a woman named ADELE BLANCHARD. Most of them are love letters to Adam. Then Alice finds the most recent letter. In it Adele calls off the relationship saying that she is returning to her husband. The next day, Alice receives a package. Inside the package is a silk scarf that is stained with blood. There is a note that reads "How far will you let him go". Once again there isn’t a signature or return address.

A few days later, Alice looks up Adele’s phone number. She reaches Adele’s mother (JEAN) instead. Jean tells Alice that Adele has been missing for eight months. By now, Adam has figured out that Alice has looked through his closets and seen the letters. Later that day, Alice goes to visit Jean to find out more about Adele. Jean shows her a photo album with Adele’s pictures in it. There is one picture in particular that interests Alice. It is of Adele standing next to Edmund’s Church. When Jean isn’t looking Alice steals the picture. Then Jean asks Alice if she would like to stay for dinner. She says that she has invited one of Adele’s old friends who just happened to call that morning. His name is Adam Tallis. Jean thinks that they would like each other. Alice freaks out. She told Adele that her name was Joanna. She apologizes and quickly leaves. That evening, Adam ties her up and wants to have violent sex with her. He is very upset that she doesn’t trust him. The more frightened Alice becomes the more upset he gets.

Finally, she says that she has to go to the bathroom and he unties her. She crawls out of the bathroom window and runs to the police station. There she tells the police that she thinks that Adam killed Adele. She tells a police officer named DANIEL the entire story about her relationship with Adam. He sympathizes with her. Just then, Adam shows up at the police station. He says that he is worried about his wife. Daniel tells Alice to go out the back door and he will stall Adam. Alice goes to Deborah’s house. She asks Deborah if she knows about Adam’s other girlfriends. Deborah admits to thinking that Adam might have killed one of the women that he was dating years ago. Alice tells Deborah that she thinks that Adam killed Adele because Adele was going to leave him. She shows her the picture of Adele by Edmund’s Church. Deborah tells Alice that she sent the notes to try and scare Alice away form Adam. Then Deborah and Alice decide to go to Edmund’s Church and look for Adele’s body. They don’t have to look for long when Alice finds Adele. While Alice is trying to figure out their next move, Deborah starts telling her about how she and Adam use to have sex when they were kids. She tells Alice that she gave Adam his first silk scarf. Suddenly Alice realizes that she has been afraid of the wrong person. Deborah comes up behind her and hits her over the head with a shovel. She says to herself "If I can’t have him, nobody can". She continues to hit Alice with the shovel over and over again. Just then, Adam shows up. He and Deborah get into a fight. Alice runs down to the church and finds a flare gun. She kills Deborah with it. The police come and dig up Adele’s body. They take Alice and Adam away in different ambulances. Adam tells Alice that he can’t get over the fact that she didn’t trust him. They are soon divorced. Years later, Alice sees Adam in an airport with his pregnant new wife. Oh and the role of Alice will be filled by Heather Graham.

Yours truly,

"THE EVIL SPY FROM THE MIDDLE EAST"

P.S. Further to my e-mail pls. CONSIDER THIS!!!

A couple of years ago, a distributor/producer Yoram Pelman of Tomorrow Films handed me a script to read called "Judas". I read it and, to tell you the truth,...IT KICKED ASS!!! Pelman and partners were in the talks with Russel Crowe even befor "The Gladiator" was released and apparently he responded greatly to the project. After "The Gladiator", I guess his fee went up so Crowe was turned down...or is it the other way around? But there was no Ok yet on the project...Until today Tomorrow Films opted for Matthew MacConaghey (God Damn It I can never spell his name right!) and he accepted. So Matthew is confirmed. They are currently in the talks with Penelope Cruz and Renee Zelwegger to take the lead female roles. No director attached yet.

I'm not sure about the budget nor if it has a US distributor attached yet, but I'm sure a major won't miss this one!!!

So let me get to point. Judas Kicks ass!!! It's a fast paced script creates a major adrenaline rush and it's filled lots of action/violent sequences, the dialogue is great, the character is witty in a few words a movie made for Quentin Tarantino...When I started reading it I just couldn't let go. I'm not going to give you a full synopsis on this because I just don't want to spoil it, neither to our readers nor to you Harry.

Anyway, "Judas" is set in New York. It's the story of a man "Vincent" a highly trained agent working for a top secret governmental organization who's purpose is to provie political turmoil all over the world and keep the war machine rolling. This organization comes up with a new mission called "The Last Supper" in which it involves 12 members (representing the 12 disciples). Each member is handed a part of the globe planning terrorist attacks in order to keep their people or better the people they want in command. The "head" of this organization is inevitably someone who calls himsel "God". Vincent soon builds a conscience and decides to abort this mission or better destroy it. He is soon discovered and is is filed as a "Judas" and that is where the rollercoaster ride begins...

What do you guys think?
