Spoilers! The names of the four “Big Brother” nominees, the two winners of the Battle of the Block and Last HoH Standing lurk in invisotext:
1) HoH, Alpha Female and long-limbed Southern California skin-care therapist Amber Borzotra nominated for eviction two blondes: Southern California pedicab driver Hayden Voss and Michigan nursing grad Nicole Franzel.
2) HoH, Alpha Male and musclebound San Antonio motorcycle salesman Devin Shepherd nominated for eviction two party girls: Southern California event coordinator Brittany Martinez and New York DJ Paola Shea.
3) Hayden and Nicole won this week’s Battle of the Block, leaving Devin as the sole HoH and leaving Brittany and Paola as the only nominees.
If you were iffy about last week’s “Leftovers” pilot, know that I was too -- but know also that tonight’s episode is enormously compelling throughout. (And next week’s episode, which focuses on Christopher Eccleston’s obsessed minister character, is better still.)

Where HBO’s “Game of Thrones” has been attracting bigger and bigger audiences from year to year, last week’s “True Blood” key demo score of 1.6 was the lowest score for the Louisiana vampire series since its first season in 2008. Two summers ago “True Blood’s” fifth season launched with a 2.9. Its Aug. 24 episode will be its series finale.
