This Week's SATURDAY SHORTS: A Horrorfest of Awesomeness!

Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here with yet another fun lineup of unique short films that are sure to blow your mind. This week we dive head first into a dirty bath of horror films. We go from wierd to crazy to bizarre all in the span of less than an hour. So if you're in the mood to get a little scared and occasionally feel the need to look over your shoulder... then good, you've got some fun times ahead of you. As always, try to fullscreen each one of the films - there's detail galore in all of them and well, it's just more fun to watch them without the need to squint your eyes, right? Bam! Let's get this horror show on the road. Let's hop on in!

Go grab yourself some popcorn, lock your kids in a closet, kill the lights, relax and check out this little weekly film fest we've got ourselves here!

Haunted houses - a place folks will pay good money to go to and have the bejesus scared out of them by actors in masks. We've all been there, all had fun, all safely exited without that crazy masked guy with a chainsaw (there's always one) killing us. Director Vincent Masciale writer Luke Barnett take that concept to a whole new level, and they chose to bring Dean Cates and Ashlynn Yennie along for the ride. If you like what you see, be sure to hit up Luke and Vincent's company website, Lone Suspects, for more fun.

Next up is a creepy flick from director David F. Sandberg that's sure to get your blood pumping. While it's only three minutes long, it'll leave you winded and wanting more!

On that same note as "creepy," this film from Michael Evans and Go For Broke Pictures takes the cake. You ladies and gents might have caught this one a while back, but for those who haven't already seen it - you're in for a trippy good time.

Our next film is short and sweet. It's a perfect blend of chuckle funny and scary. From Saturday Shorts alumni, director Ross Peacock, we get a fun reminder of why you say "bless you" when someone around you sneezes...

And let's go out on a high note (music joke...) with our last film of the week. Driected by Anthony Nelson and written by Robert Luzhak, this film is a direct loveletter to HP Lovecraft's THE MUSIC OF ERICH ZANN and was done pretty damn well. This one's a tad more haunting than it is a gorefest of nasty and hopefully all of the Lovecraft fans out there can get a kick or two from it. I did. Fun fact: The lead actress in the movie, Amy Hakanson, wrote and performed the film's score.

That's it for this week guys and gals. I'll catch you all back here in a week with a giant comedy block that's absolutely sure to put a smile on your face! Have a great week and keep making/submitting your cool projects!

If you have a short and think it belongs here or are on the fence about whether to send it in, please do send it in - I'd love to see what you've put together. I've already seen hundreds of fresh new filmmakers' shorts and like any good addict, I need more!

Shoot me an email at ""

In the subject line include:

“SHORTS” + “Your film’s name” + “The film’s genre”

Then, in the body of the email, please include a synopsis of the film and any contact information you might think I need or would want published. The more info you send my way, the more info there is to put with your short.

Please don’t feel the need to submit multiple times.

Remember, the filmmakers might still be in the audience, so feel free to share your thoughts in Talkbacks below. (JUST DON'T BE AN ASSHOLE). I picked them, so you know I think highly of all of these, but how about you fine folks? How'd you like 'em?

BY THE WAY: If you've had a short featured here, that means that I personally am a fan of your work, so feel free to shoot me any kind of news on new projects/films/whatever. I can't say I'll be able to help or in what capacity, but I'm interested in your work and am always down to see more! (Keep making cool stuff, everyone!)
