Lucasfilm / Disney have just announced that CHRONICLE director Josh Trank will helm a stand-alone STAR WARS film.
This is a separate project from the recently announced stand-alone STAR WARS verse picture from GODZILLA’s Gareth Edwards.
In addition to the episodes of a new Star Wars trilogy, Lucasfilm and Disney continue development of multiple stand-alone movies that will offer new stories beyond the core Saga. The newest director to come on board is Josh Trank.

No further details were issued about the nature of this project.
Trank is currently filming the controversial FANTASTIC FOUR reboot over at Fox. That picture is due on screens Summer 2015.
