It's been seven years since Eli Roth last terrorized audiences with one of his films, and I am of the mind that the wait has been too damn long! Fortunately, we don't have to wait too much longer for his latest film, GREEN INFERNO which is a take on one of the darkest little corners that horror has to offer - Italian cannibal films.
The story will follow a group of American activists who wind up stranded in the Amazon and at the mercy of local (and probably not terribly friendly) tribe.
In anticipation, the first poster has been released. It really carries an overwhelming, claustrophobic vibe as the character is surrounded and swallowed whole by her cannibal captors.
GREEN INFERNO is set for release September 5th. We're expecting a trailer to hit later this week.
