Thaddeus Brown managed to escape Miramax alive with the following information about... RAMBO 4 (I guess that ... wasn't that dramatic, given you've clicked on a RAMBO 4 NEWS thing, and saw the title above) He had been wrapped up in 4,000 lbs of chains, locks and manacles. He even had one of them iron masks put on, but with no airholes. It was tough, he'd been caught, but... being the World's Greatest Escape Artist came in handy for a AICN spy like Thaddeus. But then that's why his friends call him... Mr. Miracle.
I am very close to the Rambo 4 project and I have this tidbit to dish off to you. As most of you may already know, the set-up in the new movie is that John Rambo is recruited by the government to infiltrate a right wing millitia group. What NO ONE knows is that Sly himself has contacted none other than Brian Dennehy to reprise his role as the asshole sheriff from First Blood! The idea Sly wishes to express is that the sheriff could go one of two ways. Either he is a dangerous member of the militia that could expose Rambo as a "mole" or he could bury the hatchet and give Rambo a hand. Nothing is absolutly clear on the direction of the film since there are about 3 variations of the militia story going through the mill. Sly has complete control of the project and will greenlight it only if the story is perfect. By adding Dennehy, he feels he can give this project some weight(no pun intended) and pull off a great film. I must add, there is no director slated and everything is still in delicate planning stages. But if Dennehy accepts Sly's offer, it brings things closer to fruition. I will be the first to let you and your readers know when new info comes in.
