Folks... The title of STAR WARS: EPISODE 2 will not be... THE RISE OF THE EMPIRE. I do not care if News Corp owns THE AUSTRALIAN newspaper... Do you really think that News Corp would break the title for the upcoming Star Wars film in THE AUSTRALIAN? News Corp owns a lot of rags, and what has happened is this... A rumor broke out about 72 hours ago from Australia... claiming to come from the Fox Lot down there. How do I know? I got the email too. Someone at The Australian decided to go with the story.... then... because the media as a whole said... Look... NEWS CORP owns THE AUSTRALIAN.... IT MUST BE TRUE... they jumped on board screaming... LOOKEE LOOKEE WE GOT THE TITLE. They ain't got the title. Now behold as Lucasfilm begins to say... "The title of the film is STAR WARS EPISODE 2 and that is what we are calling it for now... the title is not THE RISE OF THE EMPIRE" I believe the level heads at TheForce.Net have called Lucas publicity (unlike Studio Briefing, E! News and enumerous other sources) and have been told basically... nope... taint the title. So stop making up your fan posters and fake trailers and all the psuedo excitement.... This was a false alarm.
