HBO Orders Two More Seasons Of GAME OF THRONES To Follow The Current One!!

I am – Hercules!!

This is no great surprise, as “Thrones” has long ago overtaken “True Blood” as HBO’s most popular current series.

The question is, will the series finish telling the tales of Dany, Tyrion, Arya, et al before George RR Martin’s books do?

Of course, the series could just split off and be its own thing. The Dexter novels went in directions the Showtime series never contemplated. Arthur C. Clarke’s novel sent Poole and Bowman off to Saturn instead of Jupiter. Stephen King’s newish “Shining” sequel “Doctor Sleep” reminds us that the print version of Dick Halloran survived the unpleasantness at the Overlook. And Hannibal Lecter is now sleeping with what used to be Dr. Alan Bloom.
