Hey folks, Harry here with THE UNNAMED SPY drifting like a spectre through the walls and gates of Hollywood.... Drifting in and out of rooms, sets and editing bays... a ghost... a spook... a movie spook, and he's got some heads ups for all of us... Here ya go...
I’ve got some production updates, or notes, for upcoming films straight off the lot. Most are Columbia/Sony because, well, it’s easier for me to get info for their films.
Spiderman - Filming to start this week or next on location in New York. Currently, on Stage 15 (the largest soundstage in the Western Hemisphere) New York skyscraper rooftops are being constructed for Tobey to swing across and whatnot.
Planet of the Apes (The Visitor) - Closed set, but there is activity. There is a large tank in the soundstage, not sure if they plan on using it or just covering it and taking advantage of the floorspace. Also, they could film on location in Australia, but not at Fox Australia as Lucas is occupying it of late.
A.I. - Our tour guides expect the general public to not be informed of projects in production. There is a portable tank on the lot with portholes on the sides that used to be used before underwater cameras. More recently, Steve Spielberg used the tank for A.I. Now, we like to brag about thatbut because we fear Mr. Spielberg, too, the tour guides are saying A.I. stands for “Alien Invasion.” No, I don’t get it, either.
The Glass House - A while back in the Mill (set construction, etc.) a nice new Jaguar was trashed to look like it had fallen off a cliff. That’s all.
Little Nicky - In ADR.
Charlie’s Angels - Final sound mixing.
Jurassic Park III - Painting backdrops. Exciting, no?
Tomcats - Wrapped filming, did a final re-shoot on Hollywood Boulevard Thursday night. Boy, was that a mess.
Two things I got off the WB lot:
Pay it Forward - Final sound mixing as well. The bit I saw was Hayley stopping a fight from occurring in a schoolyard. Paying it forward, I imagine.
A.I. - Yes, it’s on Stage 16, the tallest soundstage in the Northern Hemisphere. No, they won’t admit it.
