This Week's SATURDAY SHORTS: Humor and Horror! (Sunday edition)

Hello ladies and gentlemen, Muldoon here with this week's selection of fun shorts for your viewing pleasures. "Muldoon! It's Sunday, what gives for the day lateness?" Lo siento friends, due to SXSW craziness I've had a few key things fall through, like getting on WiFi... Alas, here we are with a handful of short films I think you should check out. So if you're in the mood to laugh and/or be slightly terrified, then you're in the right place! Let's jump right on in and check these films out:

Go grab yourself some popcorn, lock your kids in a closet, kill the lights, relax and check out this little weekly film fest we've got ourselves here:

Director Antonio Perez kicks off this week with his terrifying thriller. "A young girl witnesses the brutal slaying of her family at the hands of a mysterious killer. Trapped and alone, she must now try to survive before the murderer finds her."

Nathan Blackwell brings us yet another bit of funny with his latest short. LOGAN MUST MAKE STAR WARS is "a comedy about a man who is thrown back in time to the 1970's and inadvertently kills George Lucas.  To ensure that generations aren't robbed of the greatest science fiction trilogy of all time, he impersonates George Lucas and now ... Logan Must Make Star Wars." If you like Nathan's work, be sure to go check out his webseries: VOYAGE TREKKERS.

TRT: 9:42

Jacob Cooney is here with our next film! "Starring muppeteer Nathan Danforth and his puppet creation Grumpus Q. Wilterspoon, "Rocco" tells the story of a man being terrorized by his childhood imaginary friend on the eve of his death." Check out more from Cooney at his website.

Up next we have a romantic revenge short from director Eric Jeng. "A valentine's day present. Warm thoughts, positive feelings, and a friendly game of betrayal." Scorned women, something to be truly terrified of.

"Part of the club." Here's a fun short written by Harris Danow and directed by Eric Kissack. "Katie just found out that she has an incurable venereal disease. Enter the man of her dreams." Check out more from Eric at his website!

If you have a short and think it belongs here or are on the fence about whether to send it in, please do send it in - I'd love to see what you've put together. I've already seen hundreds of fresh new filmmakers' shorts and like any good addict, I need more!

Shoot me an email at ""

In the subject line include:

“SHORTS” + “Your film’s name” + “The film’s genre”

Then, in the body of the email, please include a synopsis of the film and any contact information you might think I need or would want published. The more info you send my way, the more info there is to put with your short.

Please don’t feel the need to submit multiple times.

Remember, the filmmakers might still be in the audience, so feel free to share your thoughts in Talkbacks below. (JUST DON'T BE AN ASSHOLE). I picked them, so you know I think highly of all of these, but how about you fine folks? How'd you like 'em?

BY THE WAY: If you've had a short featured here, that means that I personally am a fan of your work, so feel free to shoot me any kind of news on new projects/films/whatever. I can't say I'll be able to help or in what capacity, but I'm interested in your work and am always down to see more! (Keep making cool stuff, everyone!)
