Here’s a trailer for a promising looking picture called A LONG WAY DOWN, from director Pascal Chaumeil.
Chaumeil is best known as a television helmer, although he worked in various functions (First Assistant Director and Second Unit Director) for Luc Besson on pictures like THE FIFTH ELEMENT, LEON (THE PROFESSIONAL), and THE MESSENGER.
A LONG WAY DOWN finds Pierce Brosnan looking to kill himself on New Year’s Eve, only to connect and forge a relationship with three other folks who were planning to do the same thing at the same time - and at the same place.
Based on the novel by Nick Hornby (ABOUT A BOY, HIGH FIDELITY, FEVER PITCH), the film also stars Sam Neill, Aaron Paul, Rosamund Pike, Imogen Poots, and Toni Collette and begins its release pattern next month overseas.
