Just a quick update for you today on the Joe Wright PAN front. We learned in December that Hugh Jackman was being considered for the role of Blackbeard - the lead villain in the new take on the Peter Pan story. Deadline is now confirming the casting. It looks like talks are officially buttoned up and Jackman is on board.
This comes on the heels of yesterday's casting confirmation of Garrett Hedlund in the role of Hook, who starts this film off as Pan's ally - presumably before Pan cuts his hand off and feeds it to the crocodile, which is bound to piss anyone off.
It's definitely likely to be a different kind of role than we have seen Jackman take on before, but one that I am excited to see him in. His Blackbeard could be pretty awesome.
