NBC’s “Revolution” hit a new all-time low last Wednesday.
NBC’s two Wednesday cop shows – “SVU” and “Chicago PD” - also fell sharply with the returns of “American Idol” and “Duck Dynasty.”
“Idol” won the night with a 4.7, its weakest premiere to date. (But it still did way, way better than the 2.1 “X Factor” launched with last fall.)
The fifth season premiere of “Duck Dynasty” was way down from the 5.0 the fourth season premiere scored last August. Was it the Phil Robertson controversy or just hillbilly fatigue?
“American Horror Story,” which began its season with a 3.0, hit a new season low of 1.7 last Wednesday. That is, however, far from a series low.
“Super Fun Night,” despite following a new “Modern Family,” hit an all-time personal low last Wednesday. It will be replaced by new sitcom “Mixology” Feb. 26.
“Suburgatory,” which launched with a 3.3 in 2011, hit last week 1.6, its second-lowest score ever.
With a 1.8 “The Middle” matched its worst score in years, maybe its worst score ever.
“Nashville,” which launched with a 2.8 in 2012, hit a new personal low of 1.3 last week.
That 0.9 is not an all-time low for “Arrow”; the DC Comics-inspired hourlong, which launched with a 1.3 in 2012, hit a 0.8 late last year. A 0.9 will get you cancelled on any other broadcast network except the CW; unless the CW somehow starts airing more popular programming, “Arrow” could end up running longer than “Smallville.”
