You ever see the fake trailer for CLOWN that Eli Roth put together? Well, edify yourself right now.
Funny/crazy, no? Well, Roth pulled a Robert Rodriguez and decided to expand his fake trailer into a real movie, and now we have a real trailer for it. Obviously, they've toned down the clown make-up a tad, and have attempted to give some sort of demonic backstory for the child-killing shenanigans, but it looks pretty close to the fake trailer. A bunch of lines and shots are lifted directly from the phony trailer. That last scare may even have been more effective when Roth was playing it for laughs. But still, this trailer picks at my clown fears enough so that I'm curious to see if the finished film ends up being worth a damn.
Always nice to see Peter Stormare when the crazy's flying left and right. It's right at home for him.
