Hey, everyone. "Moriarty" here. If you're a hardcore STAR WARS freak, then no doubt you start your day on the 'net at The Force.net, probably the single best collection of STAR WARS news out there in any single stop. If you did so this morning, then no doubt you saw this article, which sure does seem to put an authoritative end to the Chris Walken rumors, doesn't it?
Does it?
I mean, no offense to the guy who originally "broke the scoop" over at The CrankyCritic.com site, but I've never heard of him, I certainly didn't hear Walken say this with my own two ears, and every single piece of reliable information I've gotten from inside the production contradicts the statement he claims Walken made.
In the end, one of two things is going to happen. Lucasfilm will either announce Walken as being a cast member soon, something I'd state WILL HAPPEN with about 90% certainty, or they'll release a final and complete cast list and major announcement like they did with THE PHANTOM MENACE and put the rumor to rest. Until then, I'm standing beside the four separate sources I have that all confirm him as being involved.
