With THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG right around the corner (next week here in the US!?!?!?), a fresh production video offers a look into the filming of this next, more ‘urgent’ installment.
Not many spoilers herein (can something like THE HOBBIT actuality be ‘spoiled’ given its age and history?), but a tasty sense of what’s in store for us…
…damn soon .
Personally, I felt the first HOBBIT movie fell a little flat - but word is this one picks up the pieces quite nicely, and I can’t wait to see what Peter Jackson and Co. have in store for us. I never had a chance to see the first one in 48FPS - but am ensuring I'll partake of that wonder(?) this time around.
Meanwhile, peripherally related to al of this, THE HOBBIT’s Martin Freeman will return for the next batch of SHERLOCK episodes beginning January 1 on BBC One (he co-stars with Benedict Cumberbatch). Season/Series 3 of that imperfect-but-excellent show will come to the States on January 19, via PBS.
