Marc Silvestri Sheds Some Light on THE DARKNESS Movie!
Unleash the Fanboy nabbed a cool interview with comic book creator Marc Silvestri about plans for the new THE DARKNESS movie which will be based on the popular comic book series from Top Cow Comics.The official synopsis reads; THE DARKNESS is the story of Mafia hitman Jackie Estacado who on his 21st birthday became the bearer of the Darkness, an ancient elemental force of nearly limitless power that allows those who wield it access to an otherworldly dimension and control over the demons who dwell there.
In the interview, Silvestri says they’ll be incorporating elements from WITCHBLADE into the film as well.

THE TAINT Team Brings Us SCIENCE TEAM!
Those of you who had a chance to see the unholy terror that is the film THE TAINT will never be able to unsee the batshit lunacy from that film. Well, it’s been a couple of years and Drew Bolduc and the rest of the folks behind that film have another one almost completed called SCIENCE TEAM and Drew sent me the brand new poster to share with you all. Other than the fact that this appears to be a film about a bunch of scantily clad women training to be a scientific line of defense against some kind of huge threat, I know nothing about this film and I want to keep it that way as knowing nothing about THE TAINT blew my freakin’ socks off.Find out more about SCIENCE TEAM on their new website here! Does CURSE OF THE DRAGON SLAYER Mark the Return of B-Movie Swords & Sorcery?
Coming soon from Phase 4 Films is CURSE OF THE DRAGON SLAYER. Though it seems to have no ties to Matthew Robbins’ 1981 classic DRAGONSLAYER, the trailer indicates some promise with some competent effects and some cool steampunk meets Medieval Times action. The film will be released on DVD, VOD, & Digital Download in May 2014. Here’s the official synopsis;Keltus, a knight of the ruling Order is on the trail of the Shadow Cabal -- a group of Orc cultists. When his leads run cold, he must team up with an elf bounty hunter, Nemyt, and an infamous orc raider, Kullimon, to infiltrate the Shadow and try to thwart their evil purpose -- to unleash the God of the Undead.
I remember the days of awesome B-movie sword and sorcery like HAWK THE SLAYER, DEATH STALKER, and KRULL and there are parts of this trailer that remind me of that. What do you think?
DON’T you wanna LOOK IN THE BASEMENT again?
The filmmakers responsible for the first DON’T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT want to make a sequel to the film 40 years later called…ID: DON’T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT 2! They’ve set up an IndieGoGo campaign to fund the making of the film and are only asking for $30,000 to do it! Personally, I’d rather see this type of film made than some stupid watered down Hollywood remake.Below is the pitch video from the filmmakers.

HOUSE OF BAD Turns Out To Be Pretty Good!
I gave HOUSE OF BAD a very positive review a while back when I saw an advance screening of the film. Well, it was released this week on DVD and digital download and the film immediately sold out from Amazon. Bigfoot gets an upgrade in MEGAFOOT!
Fans of the 6 MILLION DOLLAR MAN and Andre the Giant rejoice! MEGAFOOT is coming!While the only thing they have so far is a cool poster and a dream, I’m rooting for MEGAFOOT to be awesome. The poster and name says it all. This is Bigfoot X; part machine, part modern legend, all Sasquatchinator! Rolfe Kanefsky (NIGHTMARE MAN) is writing and directing. The film is in the early stages of development, but if posters were movies, this would be frikkin’ awesome.
