Via Sploid comes this look at Ridley Scott’s divisive and iconic 1982 thriller BLADE RUNNER, through the eyes of artist Anders Ramsell.
My first thought upon seeing this was to recall Enya’s ORINOCO FLOW video (in which she’s quite hot, buy the way) - although I have no clue whether the methodology used to realize the two is similar. If I had to guess, Enya’s video utilized rotoscope - while this lovely BLADE RUNNER piece employed over 12,500 water color paintings.
The results? 35 minutes of footage of sometimes impressionistic material which is sometimes almost as haunting as the movie itself.
