Hot on the heels of yesterday's TV spot, Universal has released the second trailer for Peter Berg's LONE SURVIVOR. Based on true events, the story chronicles a team of Navy SEALs on a covert mission to take out a high-profile Taliban operative.
This trailer is much more engagining than the first one was released - more action-packed and a better depiction of the team (played by Mark Wahlberg, Ben Foster, Taylor Kitsch, Emile Hirsch). I feel like this trailer does a better job of selling them as actual characters rather than just as soldiers. There is more tension to be found throughout as a result, and I hope that this is something that will be present in the film as well.
LONE SURVIVOR opens in limited release on December 27th, and wide on January 10th.
