“Wilfred’s” first season on FXX will also be its last.
FX Networks has announced that the American version of the talking-dog series will close shop after it airs its 10-episode final season, presumably next summer.
The big surprise may be that “Wilfred” was renewed at all. The series’ third season on FX rated so poorly that most of its new episodes did not score well enough in the 18-49 demo to make Thursday night’s top 100 cable shows.
