Trailer for Mike Newell's Adaptation of GREAT EXPECTATIONS!

Hey guys! Horrorella here...

We haven't heard much about Mike Newell's adaptation of GREAT EXPECTATIONS since it played at TIFF last year. It opened in the U.K. last November, and now looks to finally making its way stateside. Deadline has posted an official trailer, giving us a good idea of what to expect.

The Charles Dickens classic is the story of an orphaned boy named Pip (Jeremy Irvine) who goes from poverty to being an upper-class gentleman thanks to the kindness and monetary support of a mysterious benefactor. Along the way, he loses his heart to the beautiful but cold Estella (Holliday Grainger), the adopted daughter of the bitterest of old spinsters, Miss Havisham (Helena Bonham Carter)

The film is carried by an very impressive supporting cast, including Ralph Fiennes, Robbie Coltrane, Jason Flemyng, David Walliams, Ewen Bremner and Sally Hawkins.

GREAT EXPECTATIONS is set to open in limited release starting on November 8th.
