Boy, when I get something wrong, do I get told about it. The good thing though, is if I get something wrong, not only do I get told about it, but I get tons of new cool info on that project. So read on about ENTRAPMENT...
Fuqua is actually attached to ENTRAPMENT, which is a very different Connery project than the one "William Wallace" was describing. ENTRAPMENT is a big caper picture, along the lines of a THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR or TO CATCH A THIEF. Between this and (from what I hear) KING'S RANSOM, expect a rebirth of this genre.

Then Spooky here added the following about Entrapment...
I thought this related to the article you posted about Connery's next flick.
This is quoted directly from the March 1998 Film Review...a UK mag I picked up here in Edmonton, Alberta...
"Licensed to Pull --
Sean Connery's co-stars seem to get younger and younger. Having attempted his legendary seduction techniques on Uma Thurman's Emma Peel in the summer's Avengers movie, the ex-007 will be trying his luck with 27 year old Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones in The Entrapment. The big budget romantic thriller will be shot on location in Hong Kong and at Pinewood Studios for director Antoine Fuqua."
Your film-geek pal,
Spooky
And here's yet another spy... this time it's Mr Art Dekeau, who assumed correctly that I was wrong about that 'belief I had'. But he includes some info on a project called A MURDER OF CROWS
I just read your Scottish news report. I think you might have been mistaken on a project. You mentioned Antoine Fuqua(The Replacement Killers) was gonna direct Sean Connery in the yet untitled Lockerbie Story. Fuqua will direct Connery's next intitled 'Entrapement', which as supposedly started shooting.
Here's all i know about Entrapement:
Antoine Fuqua directs this 20th Century Fox project, from a Ron(My Best Friend's Wedding) Bass script. Sean Connery,Rhonda Tollefson and Michael Hertzberg produce the movie, under Connery's production Company 'Fountainbridge Films'.
The Plot:A Cat burglar(Sean Connery) who partners with a beautiful female thief(Catherine Zeta-Jones) in order to rob a Hong Kong bank. Amidst all the chaos and plotting, the two fall in love.
Zeta-Jones fresh from her Kick-ass performance in 'The Mask of Zorro', was handpicked by Connery himself to co-star with him.
And now a little about 'A Murder of Crows'.
Cuba Gooding jr 's first outing has a producer. First movie produced by GoodBro, Cuba's production company, co-created with longtime pal Derek Broes. Both are producing the movie, which is directed by Rowdy Herrington(Gladiator). Cuba plays the lead, a disbarred lawyer. The movie will probably get an R rating because of some nudity. The Budget is 7.5 millions coming all from Cuba and Derek's pockets. It will be competing at the Cannes Film Festival in May. They hope to find a distributor after the Cannes showing.
