AICN Toys: Hot Toys THE CROW, Sideshow's STARCRAFT II, Medicom Hit Girl, NECA Freddy Krueger, And More!!

THE CROW FROM HOT TOYS

Time to cue up some Stone Temple Pilots! Hot Toys has a new 12-inch figure on the way based on Brandon Lee’s iconic turn as The Crow. This guitar-carrying supernatural superhero features multiple points of articulation, three sets of interchangeable hands, a crow, a fabric costume and select outlets will also include a weather vane that he can use as a weapon. This figure will arrive in the second quarter of 2014 or you can preorder him here.  

 

 

STARCRAFT II RAYNOR FROM SIDESHOW TOYS

Jim Raynor is a Terran Space Marine, once a Confederate marshal. Now this outlaw rebel from Blizzard Entertainment’s Starcraft II has been transformed into a deluxe 1/6 scale action figure, assembled from 525 individually engineered components. The detailed armor features light up elements in the chest and engine vents, a full complement of futuristic weapons includes a C-14 Impaler Gauss rifle, a large sniper rifle, and Jim’s signature revolver. The figure also features a helmet with retractable visor, alternate heads (helmet on or off) and a fully articulated body. He’ll go to war in the third quarter of next year or you can preorder this Terran Space Marine here.

Chloe Grace Moretz gets her very own 12-inch action figure thanks to the folks over at Medicom. Based on her appearance in the upcoming Kick-Ass 2, this Hit-Girl RAH (Real Action Hero) features an articulated body, a screen-accurate fabric costume, a bunch of weapons, a display stand and more. She’ll start patrolling the streets in February or you can preorder her here.  

 

 

8-BIT FREDDY FROM NECA

Inspired by the awful 1989 NES game from LJN, NECA will release a new 8-bit version of Freddy Krueger. He will compliment the recent Friday the 13th Comic-Con exclusive. This fully articulated 7-inch bad boy comes in special window box packaging with an opening flap to re-create the look and feel of the classic 1989 video game packaging. No word on a release date yet, but we’ll keep you posted.  

 

 

 

NEW UNIVERSAL MONSTERS FROM DIAMOND SELECT TOYS

So many classic monsters!!! First up, Quasimodo from 1923′s The Hunchback of Notre Dame will sport a removable cape, crown, sceptre and a gargoyle base. He’ll be accompanied by Boris Karloff from 1953′s Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Karloff will come with a lab table, a removable hat, coat, cane, interchangeable Mr. Hyde head and hands. Those will be exclusively available in the Universal Select series at comic shops and specialty stores. Toys R Us will also get Quasimodo with a stone base instead of the gargoyle and a Mr. Hyde sans Dr. Jekyll parts with a rooftop base instead of a lab table. Also TRU will get the exclusive on a Mole Person from 1956′s The Mole People. To honor the black-and-white tradition of the Universal Monsters film library, last year’s 7-inch figure assortment will make its return in monochrome, as the third Universal Monsters Legacy Series Box Set. Grayscale versions of the Phantom of the Opera (masked version), the Invisible Man and the Metaluna Mutant will arrive in a window box at comic shops and specialty stores. Finally we’ll get two 8-inch retro monsters with The Phantom and the Metaluna Mutant. All of these figures will arrive in October.

 

AND FINALLY THIS WEEK: Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Solid Snake and Steve Rogers star in a new action/adventure short...
