Hey folks, Uncle Harry here with... that's right news about Terry Gilliam and THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE. The folks over at DREAMS the Terry Gilliam Fanzine sat down and did a bit of a gab with Terry "I'm cooler than you can imagine" Gilliam and... ya know what... They talked all about THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE, who's in it so far, who the crew are... where they are shooting and what's left to do in Pre-Production. I'm fascinated by this project because... well Gilliam is in charge, but also because any and all films with Johnny Depp attached are of interest. THEN... I am taking my Father on his first trip to Europe around the first of August and we're visiting Madrid, Spain and the surrounding areas like Toledo and Salamanca... which according to the DREAMS exclusive interview... well, it seems this is the same area that Gilliam is going to be shooting... so I'll wonder the entire visit... "Is this something I'll see in a Gilliam film soon?" Here's a taste of the interview, go to DREAMS to read the rest... it's grand!
Gilliam summarised the plot, “It's about an American advertising executive working for a British company in London and making commercials. One of the commercials he’s making is using the characters Quixote and Sancho. They’re making it in Spain and he somehow stumbles into part of Spain, he gets his tender little brain a bit confused and somehow he finds himself in the seventeenth century. And it goes back and forth between the two worlds.”
