We have the first trailer for JACKASS PRESENTS: BAD GRANDPA:
Johnny Knoxville’s film career didn’t quite take off so he has to keep resorting to going back to the JACKASS well. I laughed at the other films but Knoxville is 42 and now we are getting an entire film out of one sketch. I am guessing it is probably because he is getting too old to actually have his balls smashed a million times and be run over by wild animals day-after-day. So he doesn’t have to put as much physical effort into the film but Paramount can still use the JACKASS name to make some money. What is strange is that it seems like there is a narrative arc here, along with the public pranks. I don’t know how that is going to work but they certainly are not getting my money from this trailer. I would expect a red-band trailer soon.
JACKASS PRESENTS: BAD GRANDPA is scheduled to be released October 25, 2013.
