It's 5:45am CST here in Austin and Father Geek was just getting ready to shut down for the night when that annoying little "you-got-mail" ping went off, well I was powerless to resist and so here you have a little bit of early morning HARRY POTTER news from Austin, Texas... by way of Paris, France... by way of Dublin, Ireland... by way of London, England. Ain't the Worldwide Web wonderful?
Hello AICN readers, your Paris offices of Euro AICN here with a special report on
HARRY POTTER... Two of our most brilliant Euro
Writers, Ozymandias and Muad'Dib, sent AT THE SAME
TIME, this report on this obviously new Warner
franchise... As the first film has not been released
yet, 6 more (yes 6) are already planned... Hope Warner
will get more lucky with HARRY POTTER than with
BATTLEFIELD something (unless they do the sequel
anyway, why not after all ?). Anyway thanks to
Muad'Dib and Ozymandias :
Guys, This is pretty big - Teletext.co.uk (the TV teletext service of the UK TV network ITV) has this as an exclusive. I'm a big HP freak (and yeah talkbackers I'm 27 years old - ya wanna start something? Huh?), just finishing the Prisoner of Askaban and this lights my fire (if, dear lord they do it right!):
Seven Harry Potter movies are to be made in the next seven years, a source at Warner Bros has told Teletext Big Screen. The author JK Rowling is contracted to write seven Potter books for Bloomsbury and all will be made into films, it is claimed. 1.5 million copies of her fourth, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, have already been printed for release in Britain on July 8. With the news that seven Harry Potter films are to be made comes a report that Canterbury Cathedral has refused to be in the first Potter film. Warner Bros offered the cathedral a substantial amount of money to turn it into wizard Hogwart's School for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. But the cathedral was concerned by the story's "pagan" theme, with which it did not want to be associated.
